NFL: Rivers agrees to new deal with Chargers

According to ESPN.com, San Diego Chargers quarterback Phillip River agreed to a contract extension of $92 million over six years with $38-39 million guaranteed.  This is the second biggest deal this summer.  The other involved the player Rivers was traded for in the 2004 draft, Eli Manning.  Manning signed a six-year, $97 million extension with the New York Giants.
