MLB: White Sox GM gets ticketed for jaywalking

By Craig Filazzola, WSOE Sports Director

Kenny Williams, the general manager of the Chicago White Sox, was cited Monday night for jaywalking, the Associated Press reports. Williams was talking on his cell phone when he illegally crossed a street away from a crosswalk outside of Safeco Field in Seattle.

After getting out of a taxi, the GM headed toward the stadium just hours prior to the White Sox-Mariners game. A traffic control officer then stopped Williams and handed him a $56 ticket.

Williams told the officer how people cross streets anywhere in Chicago, but the officer said that isn’t permitted in Seattle.
