College Baseball: LSU needs extra innings to top Texas in Game 1 of CWS Final

Trailing 6-4 in the top of the ninth, the LSU Tigers knocked in a two-out, two RBI double from the bat of D.J. LeMahieu. In the bottom of the inning, Texas had a runner on second with one out but was unable to driving him in. The game would remain tied at 6-6 until the 11th when LSU proved to be clutch once again. Mikie Mahtook hit a two-out RBI single, giving the Tigers their first lead since the first inning. They held on to defeat the Texas Longhorns 7-6 in Game 1 of the College World Series Final.

Game 2 of the best of three series will be at 7 tonight on ESPN.
